The foundational roots of our institution date back to June 1945 with the establishment of the historic Vijaya College. Initially dedicated exclusively to the Pre-University Science stream, the college expanded its academic horizons in 1969 by introducing the Commerce stream. For over five decades, Science and Commerce have remained the pillars of our academic excellence.
In accordance with the Karnataka State Government mandate of 2000, institutions offering both Pre-University and Degree programmes were reorganized into independent entities. Consequently, Vijaya Bifurcated PU College emerged as a standalone institution, proudly carrying forward its rich academic legacy while embracing innovation in education.
Today, our institution continues to evolve by aligning its academic programmes with changing societal needs and industry expectations. With approximately 700 students studying across 12 sections in both I PU and II PU, we remain committed to nurturing knowledgeable, responsible, and future-ready citizens.
